Cafe Christina
15 Columbia Road
Pembroke, MA 02359
Phone: (781) 829-9001

Cafe Christina's - Pembroke on Rte 53 just past Rte 139 and Rte 14. Absolutely a true hidden jewel!! Food is to die for and waitstaff is the best bar none. Even their busboys are courteous and friendly. I happened upon them on their opening night a few years ago and have been a steady customer ever since. I give out their gift certificates as gifts and each person has been a repeat customer. Price above average here but in terms of value for your dollar there is no contest.
My Favorites:
Appetizer - Crab/Lobster Ravioli
Meal - Any
Desert - White Chocolate Cheesecake
Waitress - Toni (all are excellent)

Blue Pointe Bistro
61 Washington Street
Weymouth, MA 02188
Phone: (781) 335-7505

Blue Pointe Bistro in Weymouth, MA is fantastic. The atmosphere is great, and the place is clean. The staff is always polite, which can't be said about all places. The food selection for a place this small is good. The portions are not your typical bistro...but don't fill up, because the chocolate cake with a kahlua cream mousse...is a definite must have.

Yucatan Mexican Grill
4014 Washington Street
Roslindale, MA 02131

Yucatan Mexican Grill, located in Roslindale, Massachusetts offers a distinct and unique cuisine found only in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Yucatan Mexican Grill on Washington Street in Roslindale is known for serving up wholesome blend of marinated meats and the freshest ingredients. The full-service restaurant specializes in the rich combinations of regional cuisine and can be found on Washington Street in Roslindale. Here, you can experience the ancient Aztec dish, Poc-Chuc, which is a marinated pork-loin with freshly-squeezed lime juice and tossed on a hearty grill. Of course here you can also find the traditional dishes of heartland Mexico such as Fajitas, Chiles Rellenos, Carne Asada or grilled tenderloin, Tamales and the Mole Poblano as well as the lite-fare Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos, Queso Asado and Shrimp Ceviche, all made freshly to order. Leslie's Retreat
96 North Street
Salem, MA 01970
Phone: (978) 744-9495

Leslie's Place (based on some actual history--web site) is a throwback to the 1970s - the decor and the prices reflect this. The service is excellent, the drinks are strong and cheap, and the specials are actually made in the restaurant - no Aramark or other service delivering frozen things - and there are tasty new specials everyday. The best thing about Leslie's is the atmosphere - it is a local joint with a local crowd.

Pacific Restaurant
23 Bradston Street
Roxbury, MA 02118
Phone: (617) 989-8828

Pacific Restaurant is a great Chinese restaurant in the South End / Roxbury. They serve dim sum as well as authentic Chinese food for lunch and dinner. It's as good as anything you'll find in Chinatown but without the hassle of trying to park. They have a 5-story parking garage that's free to park in and I never have trouble finding a spot. The food is excellent!

Lucky's Lounge
355 Congress Street
Boston, MA 02210
Phone: (617) 357-5825

Lucky's Lounge, 355 Congress St. (corner of A Street) South Boston. The Fort Point Channel area languished during the Big Dig years, but new courthouse, the ICA, and the Convention Center have made the area trendy, bringing hip new eating spots. Amid all the change, one constant remains: Lucky's Lounge. It has no sign, and it doesn't need one. At lunchtime it's crowded with office workers enjoying hearty sandwiches, burgers, and maybe even a nice cold beer. (I went there with a client who doesn't eat meat, and even he was delighted with his tuna melt.) In the evening there's live music, and Sunday nights there's a "Sinatra Sunday" program featuring perennial favorite Al Vega and his jazz combo.

I totally concur with the review just read on Gennaro's Eatery in Quincy. It is great! Periodically, the chef/owner will have as a special on the menu: Chicken Piccata with Portobella Mushroom Ravioli... OH MY WORD! If ever you see it - try it...you will love it!
