Atasca in Cambridge is still one of my favorites after all these years. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, fun and relaxing. The Portuguese food is clean, delicious and reasonably priced. It is almost impossible not to have a great evening spent with friends. It is the real thing.

Belle's Bistro
2 Power Road
Westford, MA 01886
Phone: (978) 692-4444

Belle's Bistro in Westford, MA is a very good local restaurant. There are so many chains in this area and it's refreshing to find a locally-owned restaurant that is good enough for return visits. This restaurant is small but has a nice ambiance and the food is very good. The owner is usually seating guests and chatting to you to make sure everything was ok. The nightly specials are good. The Seared Scallops are especially good but rather expensive ($30). There are other entrees under $20 which are good and you can also get substantial sandwiches for under $10. There is a large martini menu too. I would recommend this restaurant.

Joe V's
315 Shawmut Avenue
Boston, MA 02118
Phone: (617) 338-5638

Joe V's is a tiny place with great pizzas and a great atmosphere. They make a BBQ pork and onion pizza that is ridiculously delicious...and somehow tastes "sophisticated."
