A visit to Oak Bluffs is not complete without a stop at Sharky's. Since that's usually in September, I'm fortunate not to hit the summer crowds and staff is relaxed and attentive. I always order the paella. Served in a small cast iron pan this dish is filled with delicious rice that forms a little bit of crust on the bottom. The portion of lobster and shrimp is generous and I love the homemade chorizo. I've never been disappointed. Great sangria as well.

The place is not Mexican at all and the food stinks.
Last time I was there the service and food were terrible. The tortilla was all dry and old. My husband and I got sick after we ate there.

The New Sharky's in Edgartown rocks. The OB place can get too crowded with a wait...the new Sharky's has plenty of rooms...great mix of families and barflies....

Our favorite place on the island; not sure where Doug from VT ate but Sharky's is the real deal. Fresh food, always consistently great, and by far the best drinks around. Top notch.

*****Doug from Stowe, VT, says:
What is the hype!!! Mediocre at best. The place is way too loud and it wasn't busy - everything echoes. Lobster Quesadilla tasteless, zero presentation, no garnish, hanging half off the plate, I don't believe a lobster even walked by it. The burrito was similar to what you get at Taco Bell, not fresh as promised, premade, cold in the middle. Chips and salsa not complementary and not good!!! I was so disappointed that I asked to speak to a manager which I normally wouldn't do; the server said she couldn't find him. I think the the server tried very hard but it couldn't make up for the bad meals. My advice is to stick to seafood restaurants while on the Vineyard.
