The food at Tata's was great. We had the Mofongo dinner, Pastelon dinner, Pionono and Alcapurias for a party of 7. The food had amazing taste and the portion size was just right. There is a well stocked bar in the restaurant side and a take-out area. I think the place could be re-decorated. The people are friendly but the atmosphere is slightly dull in decor. It didn't speak caribbean to me. Food though was amazing and I would recommend trying it out and tasting new flavors. I look forward to trying new dishes and hope the owner does bring new more exciting dishes to the menu as to keep the restaurant alive. Good luck Tata's Restaurant!

We were invited by my cousin for dinner and what can I say! The food was GREAT!The service as well it was a very nice evening. My husband and I also had our daughter's baby shower there as well. The place was set up just right everything was ready to start. And the cost was a good price and the food was awesome. So if you have an event and need a place and food all in one roof TATA IS THE PLACE. Thanks again Ana

First of all, Tata's is not Cuban; the cuisine is Puerto Rican. [ED NOTE: We corrected this--thanks.] I have brought many people here and have had them cater a large party, and everyone, without exception, has raved about the food. At the party some folks had never eaten Puerto Rican food before, so I had traditional American food in case anyone didn't want the pulled pork, tostones and arroz con gandules I had ordered from Tata's; no one, literally, touched the American food but instead ate and raved about the food from Tata's. In addition to the food mentioned above, I recommend the mofongo and short ribs. At the restaurant, the service is good, the ambience pleasant and unrushed, and the prices very reasonable. This place, and its owners, are so well liked that when the restaurant was granted a zoning permit to expand, the locals gave them a standing ovation at town meeting. Honestly, you don't want to skip Tata's.

I've been several times and love most of their dishes. The place is small and not very pretty, but the service and food make it all worth the trip. :)
They don't serve liquor, but you're welcome to bring your own. Actually pretty cool.

I went for the first time last week, a friend took me there. I order Mofongo and carne frita and the chef made a special sauce for my Mofongo...THE BOMB, my friend's meat was so tender. And most important our food was made fresh; I saw the chef cooking it.. 2 thumbs up for the Chef.. I love the place so much that I will be going tomorrow again with my mom, aunt, uncle and kids. You should try it.

This was the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life!!! (I never thought I would ever say this, I love food and am willing to try anything!!) First of all, the bread that surrounded my fish sandwich was moldy (not in just one spot . . . but all over!!) The chicken was rubber . . . just as if it were microwaved, and the fries looked and tasted like they had come from an industrial bag of food. The staff was friendly . . . but the food horrible. I am sickened that we had to spend our hard-earned money on such a horrible meal. Don't eat here!! If you work here, please try eating the food yourself . . . what a waste of money!!!

Small cafe type restaurant. Friendly service. Absolutely love their pot roast!
We have tried a half dozen or so of their different dishes and liked all of them. (Although it was unsettling to have the red snapper served with the head attached - it's difficult to eat something that is looking at you.)
Haven't tried their Sunday breakfast menu yet but it is next on the list.
