Bambara in Cambridge has a great promo called Happiest Hour.
Offered from 4pm-6pm Monday through Friday, Happiest Hour is the ultimate recession bargain with five different delectable appetizers offered at just $2 a plate! They're really large portions, which seems to be going over really well because they're always packed!
On the menu at the moment are the meatball sliders (marinara, provolone, parmesan on a sourdough roll), fish cakes, crispy fried squid, grilled flatbread and arancini.

Grendel's Den in Cambridge offers 1/2 everything on the menu, as long as you buy $3 in drinks, 5-7:30pm every evening. Kinda loud and studenty but a good deal for food.
