Layover Exploring, Friday in August

I would love to go somewhere interesting for an early dinner not too far from the South Boston train station. I don't know Boston at all but am hoping someone would have an idea about where I could spend an hour or 2, sipping wine till my train leaves. How about going to Lucky's Lounge? It is on Congress Street in the Fort Point Channel area, within easy walking distance of South Station. It has a really funky vibe to it, with good food, great music, and lots of options for drinks. Here is their Web site:
