We were in Stowe over the weekend, hitting several restaurants in the area, including the Italian restaurant at the Foxfire Inn. I love the food at the Foxfire, but was also curious about a few of the other Italian restaurants we saw in the general area, including Trattoria La Festa and Olive's Bistro, both on Mountain Road, and Stella Notte in Jeffersonville. Any thoughts? [Go here to post a reply.]

Stella Notte Restaurant in Jeffersonville is the best Italian in Northern Vermont. They use the best ingredients and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The prices can't be beat for the quality and portions of the food. Everything is homemade, even their bread and desserts. Definitely try them if you have a chance, you won't be disappointed!

I'll have to agree. Whenever we go to Smuggs, Stella Notte is a definite stop for dinner. All fresh ingredients and a helpful staff make this a favorite!

Stella Notte is the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at! You can definitely tell all of the ingredients are fresh and the menu offers something for everyone. I agree the homemade bread is outstanding! If you are anywhere in the area stop in for a great meal; it is affordable, too.

No one of our party of 6 enjoyed their meal. The bread basket looked impressive...everything was stale...how disappointing.
Service was pleasant until we said we would have like 2 separate bills...we got a snarky answer and the waitress changed her demeanor completely. I feel bad for the people who consider this great Italian cooking...you'd be better off buying a TV dinner!
