Good Vegetarian Restaurants?

(From Our Questions and Answers Feature)

Someone was telling me about a vegetarian restaurant in Lowell called Life Alive the other day, and it got me thinking about places to go for good vegetarian food in New England. Does anyone have any favorites anywhere in the region? [Go here to post a reply.]

Claire's Corner Copia in New Haven is definitely one of the best vegetarian restaurants around, hands down. I also have two of Claire's cookbooks. They have great veggie burgers, salads and Mexican options, amongst other menu items.

Red Lentil in Watertown is newish and very very good.
Peace O Pie is also fairly new in Allston and has the best vegan pizza I've ever had in the U.S.

Garden Grille in Pawtucket, RI and Veggie Planet in Cambridge are both good all-veg options. For restaurants that have a nice balance of vegetarian and omnivorous dishes, Julian's in Providence and the Otherside Cafe in Boston are great.

My Thai in Chinatown has great Asian food. The veggie mock duck and chicken dishes are amazing. It's one of those places that serves vegan food that you wouldn't know to be vegan.
