Things Are Getting Busy!

The past few months have been a time of rapid growth for Boston's Hidden Restaurants, with new sections, lots of new readers (as many as 5,000 visitors a day), and a number of new reviews. Summertime is usually a time of relaxation, but for us, it looks to be pretty busy, with a possible redesign in the works and more new features coming up. So stay tuned!

We're All a-Twitter!

After some stops and starts, we are finally involved in the world of Twitter. For those who don't know what Twitter is, it is basically a simple social networking site that asks the question, "What are you doing?" But simple as it is, Twitter is also becoming an essential site to businesses, including ours.

So how do we use Twitter? Well, we typically use it to post quick updates on the site, including our latest feature reviews, blog update, reader reviews, answers to questions, etc. In a sense, it is a mini-blog of sorts for us.

If you would like to follow us on Twitter, feel free to go to our Twitter page at http://twitter.com/hiddenboston and click follow. Then you will start getting our daily updates!

This Issue's Feature

Bakeries and Pastry Shops

Late last year we put out a feature on mostly little-known bakeries and pastry shops in the Boston area. Some of the places that we listed have been around for many decades, while others are fairly new. And all of them are very good, especially if you like bread and/or have a sweet tooth.

Included in our bakeries and pastry shops feature are bagel shops such as Kupel's in Brookline, places that feature all kinds of breads such as Iggy's in Cambridge, and old-school cookie and cupcake places such as Fratelli's in Quincy. Our list is by no means complete, so if you have a favorite bakery or pastry shop, please tell us about it!

A Question from Us (To Our Readers):

Favorite Fried Clams in New England?

Tell us about a New England restaurant that has the best fried clams in our questions and answers feature; we will likely add it to the "Replies" section of the question!
