Boston's Hidden Restaurants Is Three Years Old!

Hard to believe, but in early 2004, Boston's Hidden Restaurants was a tiny site with a handful of little-known restaurants (we believe that El Sarape in Braintree was the first). Now, three years later, our site is on track to be visited by nearly 1 million people annually. Thanks to all our viewers, as we wouldn't be anything without you!

Our Latest Restaurant Reviews

Here are some restaurants that we have been to recently...

Fellini Pizzeria, Providence, RI
a quirky pizza joint that is a hit among college students and locals in the Fox Point section of Providence.

Barry's Village Deli, Waban, MA
a little-known deli in the Waban section of Newton that stands head and shoulders above most Boston delicatessens.

The Restaurant, Woburn, MA
an old-fashioned cafeteria in Woburn Center that serves up some terrific (and cheap) Greek food.

Grotto, Boston, MA
a romantic Italian and Mediterranean restaurant on Beacon Hill that is one of Boston's best.

Boston's Hidden Restaurants Expands to Other Cities!

We here at Boston's Hidden Restaurants feel that we have found a number of true hidden gems in the Boston dining scene. We have always wanted to know about great little-known restaurants in other cities on the East Coast, but honestly, we just don't have the knowledge of these areas that we do of Boston.

Because of this, we have decided to add a new section to our site where readers can tell us about great hidden restaurants in some of the nearby major cities, including Montreal, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC.

If you know of any hidden gems in these cities, please go to our hidden restaurants in other cities page to let us know about these dining spots!

This Issue's Feature

Popular Boston Restaurants

As you can tell by the name of our site, we don't talk all that much about some of Boston's more popular restaurants. Indeed, nearly all of the restaurants that we review are little-known, which means that such great places as Santarpio's and Oishii aren't covered here.

Fortunately, we do have a list of popular Boston restaurants (within our special features section) that you might want to read about. Included are restaurants that are well-known to Bostonians and visitors alike, and while they may often have lines on a weekend night, it is definitely worth the wait to try these terrific dining spots!
