I'm thinking about taking cooking classes somewhere in Boston, or perhaps around Cambridge or Brookline. One spot I'm considering is Barbara Lynch's Stir in the South End (at Waltham and Tremont Streets). Has anyone taken classes there? Any other good places to take classes in Boston, Cambridge, or Brookline? Stir is pretty expensive, so if there are some decent places that are also reasonably priced, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks! [Go here to post a reply.]

You can take classes at the Elephant Walk (www.elephantwalk.com) for under $100.
You can also take a class at Brookline adult ed. (www.brooklineadulted.org) for about $120. Cambridge School of Culinary Arts (www.cambridgeculinary.com).

Cambridge Culinary Institute of America has a decent looking course for about 4 bones. It teaches knife skills, among other things:
