Exchange Street Bistro for good comfort and cafe food, plus the drinks are great, too.
All Seasons Table for nice ambiance and Pan-Asian food (including sushi) w/ full bar.
Pho 99 for it's Vietnamese food.
And I liked what used to be Artichoke's for some Italian food w/out having to go to the North End.
Pisa Pizza for pizza.
Sun Guang Bakery for Chinese baked goods. Try their cakes.
Joti Palace.
Doo Wop Diner for comfort, no frills, greasy diner breakfast food (and gotta enjoy the music). Brings back memories of my more frequent trips there.

Pearl Street Station has decent pizza, they make a good drink and the hilarious female bartenders make for an evening's entertainment. The old-fashioned train station atmosphere adds to the warmth...and the prices are not bad, either!

Pasta Market totally.
Saigon Noodle is the best of the 3 Vietnamese places.
Santoro's makes the best subs around.
Mimi's Roast Beef makes the BEST chicken fingers in existence.
Papa's Bar and Grill makes incredible burgers, among many great items on their menu.
For Chinese takeout/delivery, nothing beats Fortune Corner.

District 7 is great, doesn't get the respect it deserves. Good beer selection, solid pub food, nice atmosphere. The only problem, not open on Sundays.
