Rino's Place
258 Saratoga Street
East Boston, MA 02128
Phone: (617) 567-7412

Rino's has, by far, the BEST Italian food around. I've been going to Rino's with my family (two times a week, mind you) for about 15 years now, and I have yet to find better Italian food - anywhere. It came to a point when I actually set out to find a better place in the hopes of changing the scenery of my weekly dining experience, but my efforts turned out to be fruitless. Rino's is a small, casual, family-owned and operated Italian restaurant on a street corner in East Boston. My personal favorite is the Chicken Marsala and the potato gnocchi (awesome red sauce), but when you can catch the roast pork tenderloin with spicy prune sauce on the daily special menu, get it - it's to die for! If you like fish, the daily specials always feature interesting, tasty seafood dishes (such as seafood canneloni) as well. Rino's is a thousand times better than any restaurant in the North End and is also much cheaper in price (although I'd pay anything for Rino's). Granted, it's not a place you'd go to for fine dining or for a romantic escape, but if you want great food, then look no further. You can't beat this place.
I have been quite hesitant to share my little secret over the years, but I don't want to continue to deny people of a great meal any longer than I already have...enjoy!

Ashburton Cafe
1 Ashburton Place
Boston, MA 02108
Phone: (617) 248-3957

My favorite lunch spot is the Ashburton Cafe, which is located at 1 Ashburton Place on Beacon Hill. This place is a hidden gem! Not only is it incredibly inexpensive ($5.25 will get you an entree), the food is fantastic! The options for entrees change every day, as do the display options, which include a pasta bar and a burrito bar, to name a few. They have great soups and sandwiches that are also made fresh, as well as a salad bar and many grab-and-go options. After years of spending a fortune on lunches or dealing with the drudgery of packing a lunch every single day, Ashburton Cafe provides an affordable and delicious option for those working in the Government Center area.

Skewer's Wood Grill
1060 Main Street
Tewksbury, MA 01876
Phone: (978) 863-0111

The wood fired grill adds another dimension to the already high quality ingredients. From the Greek lemon soup to the pulled pork sandwich to the kabobs and stir fries, everything is delicious, fresh, and inexpensive. The interior is attractive and clean, beer and wine are available. If you want great food in an unpretentious setting (order at the counter, paper plates) this is one great restaurant!

(Various Ice Cream Stands)
Your ice cream stand list is missing a few favorites.Krista K's on Rt. 28 in West Dennis, Hodgies in Amesbury, and my particular favorite, Burke's in Haverhill. Burke's makes their own ice cream and they are always coming up with new and interesting flavors. Last fall they had Indian Pudding ice cream that was incredible! They have Cruise night on Sunday and many interesting cars are on display while a DJ plays music.
