Fifteen Regional Food Items from Boston-Area and New England Spots
One topic that seems to always be coming up is regional foods, including items found in the Boston area and elsewhere in New England that tend not to be found as often (or aren't found at all) in other parts of the country. This new list looks at a handful of such items, and there are a few "twists" on regional dishes shown here as well, including clam chowder with fried clams added and an Irish version of baked beans. And usually our slideshows focus mainly on Boston and the surrounding communities, but because this is more of a regional look, this one also heads to other parts of Massachusetts as well as other New England states.
