Went there for thanksgiving. The Country Spirit didn't meet expectations ... it far exceeded them. Food [none of which had come from a warming tray], service, cleanliness all handled perfectly. They were able to handle requested changes easily. The price for the Thanksgiving meal was less than we have paid at other restaurants at t-day and the quality was far superior. Going back? Certainly!

Loved the restaurant, however, they ran out of three of their main entrees by 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, Memorial Day weekend. Had to go with the steak tips which were tough and had an undertone of rotten meat! Service was great though! I probably won't go back.

We have frequented The Country Spirit Tavern for years and have always thought the food and service were okay so we decided to stop in on St Patrick's Day 2009. The owner or manager treated us to the most humiliating experience of our lives and we will never visit again. We overheard his conversation with a couple who came in after us that wanted a table. We were kicked out of a table in the tavern so Rick could accommodate that other couple and he proceeded to yell at us in front of every other customer until we left. That guy could use come educating in the field of customer service or he will run away all of his customers!

The service was great, the atmosphere was great, however, the meals are overpriced. You can find other restaurants that have higher quality of food at a lower price.

I finally got around to trying the Country Spirit Restaurant over the past weekend. It was pretty good overall, but service was slow (though friendly), they were out of their soup of the day, and one of our orders was messed up. The atmosphere was less rustic than I was expecting, with the restaurant almost seeming more upscale than homey. But it wasn't bad, and I thought that my entree (chicken francaise) was pretty tasty.
