This place really needs to step it up, foodwise. They've been riding the coattails of their bar for quite some time now; that's the only explanation for why they still have a waiting list on weekends. No matter what you order, everything on the plate always ends up merging to look like everything else on the menu. This does not necessarily happen at other Mexican restaurants - unless you want it to! Hermanos used to be better.

Horrible. A BAD experience all around - from the hostess, to the wait staff to the dried out enchilada and soggy taco. This is a poor excuse for Mexican food. Any place that charges for chips and salsa just doesn't get it...

My only complaint is that it's too busy on weekends. Their guacamole is great, filled with chunks of avocado, perfectly spiced and like all their food, house made. I love the Jake's nachos-chicken, garlic, scallions, black olives on home made chips. the margaritas are killer strong and not the sweet frozen kind most "Mexican" restaurants serve. The owners are almost always there and some of the waitresses have been there as long as I've been going, which is more than ten years. A fun, friendly place, locally owned with real, Mexican food. I lived in southern California for a decade and this rivals or tops anywhere I ate.

The freshest, most authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Potent, delicious margaritas. The staff is friendly and seems to make a point to know your name (maybe because I'm there all the time!!) And they attract some incredibly talented jazz musicians. Not the place for folks who like "New England style" Mexican, sweet and weak drinks, and canned salsa. The rest of you will love it!!

Awful, overpriced, unsatisfying food.
