I have been eating at Scribner's for 20yrs, I have my anniversary dinner there every year, my mother in-laws birthday, etc.. It always will be our favorite place to celebrate, all our most important family events and always has been ever since I can remember. Why because the food is magnificent and it has New England Charm & Character! It's a classic restaurant and unbelievable service! I love the Blue Green Salad and Calamari, my husband only eats stuffed Lobster at Scribner's he says it's the BEST!

I have travelled all over the states and this was my favorite place in CT. I had a delicious Swordfish special and my wife had the Mahi. The food was fresh and delicious. When I'm back in CT to visit family I will sure be here again.

*****rac from Westport, CT, says:
Busy bar crowd so it appeared the place was good and well-liked. Evidently the bar section of the restaurant is filled with white trash/barflies. The food is laced with so much msg that the following morning, our faces were bloated. With so many decent other places to go between here and NYC, don't waste your money on food described as poor at best. How is it that this place is in business?
