Has anyone tried the Fox and Hound on Sea Street in Quincy (next to Grumpy White's)? I heard the food is pretty good, and they have a fireplace which is always a plus on cold days such as today. What is good there? [Go here to post a reply.]

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Although it has been open for five years now, it took me three years to check it out. Once I did ... I've been going back ever since. I've eaten there at least a dozen times. The food is delicious (everything) and the service is good. The atmosphere is so cozy. The only thing that I didn't love was something that happened recently. I had a $100 gift certificate and they would not allow us to put the tip on it...we had to pay cash for that. That just doesn't seem right. My husband's company spends hundreds in gift certificates for his customers. The thought of them having to keep $20 on a gift certificate and come up with the cash for the tip is embarrassing. How are we treating someone to a nice dinner when they have to pay towards the meal? This is the only negative. All in all this is my favorite restaurant.

Had a baby shower for my daughter there recently. We opted for the brunch buffet which was excellent. Plenty of food, great service, nice atmosphere - we were in the fireside area. They are excellent in banquet service in my opinion!
