What is the scoop on the Harp and Bard in the Savin Hill section of Dorchester? I've driven by this place hundreds of times while traveling down Dorchester Avenue but have not tried it yet. Dorchester Avenue is filled with Irish pubs and bars, but this one looks like it might be more of a restaurant than some of the others. How is the place? [Go here to post a reply.]

We eat here once a month or so. The food is good pub grub, the bartenders are friendly, and it is a local joint. Nothing fancy, but a solid meal.

Pretty much a local crowd, friendly spot. Good for Keno and drinks. The food is average pub grub. The owner, however, can be miserable to his staff and I at times found it uncomfortable.
