Roast Beef at Skampa in Cambridge?

A friend of mine sent me a note about a place called Skampa in East Cambridge. He said the roast beef there was one of the best he has had, and considering that he knows his roast beef sandwiches really well, I'm very intrigued by this. Has anyone else tried the roast beef at Skampa? I can see a trip over there in the near future for me. [Go here to post a reply.]

...actually, everything I've ever had from Skampa has been amazing.
I highly recommend a trip there as soon as possible!

I haven't been, but I have a lot of family and friends in East Cambridge who have often recommended Skampa's roast beef to me. They grew up in the neighborhood, so they may know what they're talking about. So there you have it: the secondhand scoop. :)

Yup. Eat there at least once a month. It's a few blocks from my office. I'm not sure it's a destination meal, but if I were equal distance between Skampa and Kelly's, I'd go with Skampa. It's cooked a rosy medium rare, sliced nice and thin, and served on a good quality roll. I always get it with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo and BBQ sauce, and it is one messy sandwich! My only quibble would be that I don't recall the roll being buttered and griddled.
