I returned to Saison in Richmond to dive deeper into the menu and take advantage of their happy hour specials. It's refreshing to find a place that serves its chicken wings with the tips intact.
Kim S.
Harvard Gardens. Alternative rock and roll playing for dinner rush. Awesome. Food was pretty good. Had a great night there so two thumbs up!
Richard A.
Legal Sea Foods for Norwegian Skrei (and obscenely huge shrimp). Brunch at No.8 Kitchen in Amesbury for cornbread, chicken & waffles.
Nina F.
stella blu in nashua
Kristen N.
Olde Main Street Pub in Salem and SALT Kitchen and Rum Bar in Ipswich. Also Vesuvius, the second location of the Marblehead pizza place that just opened in Salem.
Jay M.
Besito for a nice lunch: octopus ceviche, pudin de mariscos, queso fundido and other decent vittles. And I just got back from Bistro du Midi where we had a nice dinner. First time there for me.
Rob C.
Tried out The Central in York ME, last night. Nice, surprisingly good dining experience: https://www.thecentralmaine.com/
Susan R.
The Bancroft in Burlington to celebrate Valentine's Week.
Dawn C. A.
Little Q HotPot in Arlington. Perfect winter food.
Susan H.
Pier 6, Navy Yard Bistro, Liquid Art House, Warren Tavern and Maggiano's Little Italy.
Geoff W.
Had Tenoch in the North End for the first time, my new favorite Mexican place. Caffe Vittoria for dessert.
Lin B. B.
I Pazzi Italian Mediterranean, Danvers. Overpriced small portions with mediocre service.
James S.
Santouka in Harvard Sq. Great shio ramen. Our server was having a tough day though. Brought us the wrong teas, then brought us the wrong size ramen order, then charged us for an extra bowl. Still going back for sure. Perfect weather too.
Warren S.
Santouka on Saturday for great shio ramen. Sunday was a Better Bagel pop-up at Cuisine en Locale, Best Bagels!
Drew S.
We usually cook on the weekends, but went out to do our part (breaking: did you see the Mayor's office bingo thing? So corny, and doubtful to get any traction, but we'll see). Drinks and dinner at the Hawthorne one night. Dinner at India Quality followed by a return visit to the Hawthorne the next. There are a lot of new bars in Cambridge / Somerville that I haven't gotten to yet, and it's really hard to be in a rush when that's my local.
Sachiko M.
sorry this is a few weeks back but La Brasa, Somerville. Oysters, fried rice, cappuccino with vegetable ash...

Il Casale in Lexington. Happy to get out of the house last night and they seemed happy to have customers.
Anna A.
Pon Thai Bistro in Brookline Village, brand new, so good and good beer too. http://www.ponthaibistro.com/#about
Warren S.
We made it out to Commonwealth on Saturday. Seemed like there were many brave VD celebrants there.
Susan H.
Pier 6 in the Navy Yard, TAMO.Seaport Hotel
Richard A.
Taberna De Haro. I first sat at the bar, enjoying a few delicious Sherries, and then enjoyed a wine dinner with people representing Ribera del Duero & Rueda. Croquetas, bacalao, Scrambled Eggs with Mushrooms & Morcilla; Sausage & Garbazno Beans; Cheese; and Donuts from Union Square Donuts.
Also, on Sunday, had a steak & cheese in a pita, and steak fries, from Petrone's in Melrose. I was working at the wine shop and it was one of the only restaurants open. Pita is homemade, but I think it is a bit thick for a sandwich.
And, though I wasn't at the actual restaurant, Tuscan Kitchen had a booth at the Boston Wine Expo, serving a phenomenal Truffle Stuffed Mascarpone Gnocchi, with Porcini Mushroom Cream & Shaved Pecorino Tartufo.
Joe G.
Galway House and Costello's - kept it local!
Jennifer P. P.
Friday: Kool Kone (yes they are open and yes we had ice cream too). Saturday brunch: The Farmer's Daughter (excellent), Saturday night: Johnny Macaroni's (surprisingly good for 'burbs Italian food)
Herb C.
We were at the Antique Table in Lynn for Valentine's Day. Had a very nice time and we got back home safely later in the evening.
Aaron G.
I tried Wendell's Pub in Norton for the first time and the lauded wings did not disappoint. Buzzards Bay Brewing served Valentine's Day cookies and cupcakes with their beers (we took a growler of the delicious West Porter to go). In preparation for Chinese New Year, we had a closing-the-old-year dinner at Hei La Moon that sadly looked much better than it was.
@y2000k
Braved the snow banks to get to Mulan, & ordered from special Chinese New Year menu.
@ChesterJack
York River Landing, York, ME. Pretty good food awesome craft beers including Bissel Brothers on tap

Ventured out in 50-degree sunshine to Richmond, VA for Sub Rosa Bakery, WPA Bakery, Saison Market, Saison, and Lemaire at the Jefferson Hotel. Just so I don't get too comfortable, I'm coming back to snowy MA this weekend.
Kristen N.
Gulu Gulu in Salem. They now do gluten free crepes along with the regular - quite respectable.

Sea Goose in Westerly, great fresh seafood, had the lobster nachos appetizer
Drew S.
Nowhere farther than 50 feet away, except to to the grocery store a couple hundred feet away. InBoston and Pho Basil have seen a good bit of me the last couple weeks on the days they've managed to be open.
Russell R.
Sam lagrassa's on province st in boston. We don't have anything else quite like it. Non kosher corned beef, pastrami, etc hot and cold sandwiches. I love the place for the occational decadent corned beef. Only open weekdays 11:30 - 3:30!!!!

Stockyard in Allston on Thursday night for some therapeutic red meat. They do make a fine steak there, even if they're a might pricey, and their servers are terrific.(Actually, I had scallops, and they were very good as well).

Demos in Watertown. Simple Shish Kabob. The simple greek salad is better than 99% of any pretentious salad in the area. A salad should crunch folks.
Marie N.
The "new" Student Prince in Springfield. Very sad...The bar is great, but the service was atrocious and the food worse. Well, one of the two desserts we ordered was great. Again, the bar is super.

Maggiano's, Parla and La Brasa - all interesting in their own ways.

Cha Yen - great little Thai spot in Watertown. Estragon - which is fast becoming a favorite destination, instead of just a place I just wish I spent more time. Sichuan Gourmet in Framingham - because where else are you going to go when furniture shopping at all the big boxes. Then finally Chris Cronin's popup at Mei Mei last night which has made me even more excited to see his next steps.
Cara C. H.
Bar Jamon and Casa Mono in NYC!
Dawn C. A.
Jacob Wirth with the parents. They had never been and we had a great time.

Ok this is off the beaten path but if you're up North Conway area, head on over to The Island Chef 184 rt 302 in glen nh. It's mainly take out but there is a small comfortable eating area. Panini sandwiches with a Cuban flair along with many more items such as soups, salads, deli salads, cheeses, micro brews, wines. The woman that owns and runs it is a real foodie and a pleasure to meet. Her name is Kerrin.
