This probably doesn't count as a Boston restaurant, hidden or otherwise, but it is where we ate Friday and it is worth a stop: The Farm Table in Bernardston. Scrap that; it is worth a trip. Beautiful location, inventive menu well prepared, great wine list, white glove service. You will probably need a reservation on a weekend. Great bar.

A group of us who do The Boston Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk each year -- the Waltham Walkers (although my husband, daughter and I live in Brookline) -- has lunch today at The Chateau Italian Family Dining in Waltham!!!
